NEN 3140 - Maintenance and management of existing installations
For the management and maintenance of existing installations, NEN 3140 is the standard. This standard helps companies to minimize risks, prevent accidents and comply with the Working Conditions Act. All procedures relating to safe working practices, instructions and responsibilities are laid down in it. A NEN 3140 inspection can only be carried out if an installation manager is present. This is a certified person with instructions from the management. The installation manager will set out an inspection plan and delineate the part to be inspected.
NEN 1010 - Safety when installing new installations
NEN 1010 part 61 focuses on the construction of new electrical installations. This standard sets requirements for the safety, reliability and durability of installations in both residential and commercial buildings. If there is no installation manager, inspection is carried out according to NEN 1010 part 62, periodic inspection. Before an inspection can be carried out, an inspection plan is drawn up together with the client.
SCIOS Scope 8 - Inspection of electrical installations
Besides the regular and traditionally known NEN certifications, there are also inspection methods according to the SCIOS certification scheme. A SCIOS scope 8 inspection resembles the NEN 1010 part 62, periodic inspection method. However, the SCIOS scope 8 regulation forces through the technical document a minimum part to be inspected to be laid down in the inspection plan. The SCIOS Scope 8 certification focuses on the inspection of electrical installations for prevention and risk management. This certificate is specially developed for companies that want to have their installations inspected according to the highest standards of safety and reliability.
SCIOS Scope 10 - Inspection of electrical installations for fire risk
The SCIOS Scope 10 certification focuses on assessing fire risks in electrical installations. It has a completely different purpose than the all other inspection methods: with this inspection you prevent fire risks and meet insurance requirements. Scope 10 is ideal for companies that want extra security in the field of fire safety. With only a SCIOS scope 10 inspection, the Occupational Health and Safety Act is not met. This way of inspection originated from the insurance companies. Here too, the SCIOS scope 10 regulation forces through the technical document a minimum part to be inspected to be laid down in the inspection plan. A thermographic examination according to NPR 8040-1 (assessment of measured temperature) is also used here.
Besides our certification-services, we also support companies with several inspection methods.
